ELECTIONS 24 CHECK

ELECTIONS 24 CHECK aims to enhance collaboration among fact-checking organisations in European countries in detecting disinformation related to the European elections in 2024, while simultaneously promoting verified information to enable European citizens to make informed decisions when voting.

As part of the project, a website will be developed, hosting a database with all fact-checking articles related to the European elections. The goal of developing the database is to facilitate cross-border collaboration, providing easy access and an overview of false claims or narratives circulating during the pre-election period in various European countries. These data will be valuable for journalists, researchers, and the general public.

The project is led by the European Fact-Checking Network (EFCSN), with verified members operating within the network as partners. The project is co-funded by Google Ireland Limited.
Users will be able to search and filter for articles in different languages, relating to specific countries and political parties, and pertaining to certain topics, such as climate change and security and defence.

Access the database at https://elections24.efcsn.com/.
